INQUIPORT sows future in women’s sports: Support to our athlete Carla Fernandez – Talento Portugueseño

INQUIPORT, S.A. is proud to offer all its support and backing to the young athlete Carla Fernandez, a talented swimmer who has stood out for her dedication, discipline and achievements in the sports field, a champion born in our Portuguese lands and positioned among the best in Venezuela.

Carla, currently federated for the state of Portuguesa Associated to the “Leonardo Loyo” Swimming School, she belongs to the Juvenile A category.She has shown great courage, motivation and willpower to achieve her goals.

She began her sporting career at a very young age, forging since then a whole medal list; a symbol of her triumphs; a committed, disciplined and tough young woman, known in her closest circle as “La Sirena de Agua Dulce” (The Mermaid of Agua Dulce).

In 2023, Carla reaped a series of sporting successes:

  • She closed the year in her category Infantil “B” as Figure in the National Ranking of Venezuela in first place in 6 events: 200 mts Combined, 200 mts Free, 100 mts Back, 200 mts Back, 100 mts Breast, 200 mts Breast.
  • He obtained the second place in the ranking in the following events: 50 mts breaststroke, 400 mts freestyle and 800 mts freestyle.
  • She was called to the Venezuelan National Team for the South American School Games 2023 to be held in Chile in December 2023, in the 200 mts Combined, 100 mts Breaststroke, 100 mts Backstroke and 100 mts Butterfly.
  • She was crowned National Champion of Venezuela in the following events: 200 mts Combined, 100 mts Backstroke, 100 mts Breaststroke, 200 mts Breaststroke and 200 mts Backstroke. In 50 mts Breaststroke she obtained a fifth place, being the best swimmer of Venezuela in her category of Infantil B (12-13 years old).
  • In the Championship held in Barquisimeto, Lara State in August 2023, she repeated as National Champion of Venezuela in the following events: 200 mts Combined, 100 mts Backstroke, 100 mts Breaststroke, 200 mts Breaststroke and 200 mts Backstroke. In 50 mts Breaststroke she obtained a fourth place, being again the best swimmer of Venezuela in her category of Infantil B (12-13 years old).
  • In the Championship held in Valencia, Carabobo State in May 2023, she also won the title of National Champion in the following events: 200 mts Combined, 100 mts Backstroke, 100 mts Breaststroke, 200 mts Breaststroke and 200 mts Backstroke. In 50 mts Breaststroke she obtained a fifth place.
