At INQUIPORT, together with outstanding professionals, we take the University to the field.

Professor Rafael Mejías, specialist in phytopathology and head of the extension department of the Faculty of Agronomy of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), and our collaborators Ing. Bernardo Rojas, (Los Andes Zone Manager) and Eng. Hely Pérez (Product Line Manager) of INQUIPORT, carried out a series of technical advisory activities for tomato growers on November 17 and 18, 2023 in Churuguara, Falcón state.

The talks were aimed at providing growers with knowledge and practical tools for the effective management of tomato diseases, including: the proper use of agrochemicals, the importance of prevention and early control of diseases.

During the visits to the farmers, Professor Mejias and our agronomists were able to observe and identify first hand the main diseases affecting tomatoes in the region and the use of agrochemical products: Kurator, Metalking, Promess, Kifung on the crops.

Samples taken in the field were analyzed microscopically to confirm the diagnosis of the diseases. This information allowed the specialists to provide specific recommendations to farmers on the treatment of diseases in their crops.

INQUIPORT will continue to work hand in hand with professionals; working together to provide farmers with the information and tools necessary to improve the production and profitability of their crops.
